We shall not be liable in respect of:

1. The excess amount to be borne by you in any one occurrence will be as per table below:

   • Claim Size up to 50,000 – NIL 12
   • Claim Size 50,001 to 2,00,000 – 1000
   • Claim Size 2,00,001 & Above – 2,500

2. This Plan does not cover loss or damage caused by or resulting from war, war-like operations, invasion, acts of foreign enemies, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), civil war, rebellion, revolutions, civil, commotion, uprising, insurrection, military or usurped power or confiscation to or nationalisation or requisition or destruction of or damage to protected jewellery by or under the order of any government or public or local authority including Financers/Banks.

3. This plan does not cover consequential loss of any kind:

   Acts, including, but not limited to the use of force or violence and/or the threat

4. Loss or damage that is covered under Manufacturers or Supplier Warranty. Thereof, of any person or group(s) of persons, whether acting alone or on behalf warranty of or in connection with any organisation(s) or government(s), or unlawful

5. This plan does not cover loss resulting directly from any dishonest or fraudulent act(s) or dishonest or fraudulent omission(s)/misrepresentation of you, or your partner’s or your employees.

6. This plan does not cover loss or damage caused by or resulting from:

   • Being in force, committed for political, religious, ideological, or similar purposes
   • Natural ageing, gradual deterioration, rust or oxidation, warping, or including the intention to influence any government and/or to put the public or shrinkage;
   • Aridity, humidity, exposure to light, or extremes of temperature, unless such loss or damage is caused by frost or fire.

7. This plan does not cover loss or damage caused by or resulting from mysterious disappearance or unexplained loss.

8. This plan does not cover loss or damage caused by any process of cleaning, dyeing, restoring, or repairing the Protected Jewellery.

9. This plan does not cover loss or damage caused by the intentional damage or destruction of the Protected Jewellery by you or your spouse or your family members.

10. This plan does not cover loss or damage to watch glass.

11. This plan does not cover loss or damage by denting, scratching, or cracking.

12. This plan does not cover loss or damage of the Protected Jewellery whilst entrusted to third parties.

13. This plan doesn’t cover Loss or damage resulting out of misuse or abuse, unlawful act or illegal activities including criminal acts or intentional or fraudulent act with an objective to gain undue benefit or economical gain.

14. This plan doesn’t cover loss, damage, cost or expense of whatsoever nature directly or indirectly caused by, resulting from or in connection with any act of terrorism regardless of any other cause or event contributing concurrently or in any other sequence to the loss.

    For the purpose of this exclusion, an act of terrorism means an act or series of acts, including but not limited to the use of force or violence and/or the threat thereof, of any person or group(s) of persons, whether acting alone or on behalf of or in connection with any organisation(s) or government(s), or unlawful associations, recognized under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Amendment Act, 2008 or any other related and applicable national or state legislation formulated to combat unlawful and terrorist activities in the nation for the time being in force, committed for political, religious, ideological or similar purposes including the intention to influence any government and/or to put the public or any section of the public in fear for such purposes.

    This exclusion also includes loss, damage, cost or expense of whatsoever nature directly or indirectly caused by, resulting from or in connection with any action taken in controlling, preventing, suppressing or in any way relating to the above.

15. This plan does not cover loss from or damage in or on unattended vehicles.

16. This plan doesn’t cover any kind of cyber-attack, radioactive contamination, chemical, biological, bio-chemical and electromagnetic weapons attack.
